WHY GIVE?
Jesus came to establish His kingdom on the earth and he had one thing in mind to power that mission.....the local church. And we believe that no other thing is capable of bringing life transformation and power like a local church. Your tithe and offering fuels the ministry of Royal Gorge Vineyard Church and makes it all possible. When you give, you step into something bigger than yourself, so thank you for being a part of that mission....God's mission.
WHAT IS THE TITHE?
The Bible teaches us a baseline standard for giving is the tithe. The word "tithe" means tenth, meaning 10% of our income. Giving our first and our best to God, through our tithe, is just one of the ways we show honor and worship to Him.
WHAT IS OFFERING?
An offering is a gift above and beyond your regular tithe. For example, if you give to a specific ministry, mission or cause, this would be an example of an offering.
INCREASE YOUR KINGDOM IMPACT
Company Matching Ask if your employer has an employee matching program. Many do. So when you donate to our church, they’ll match a certain percentage. It’s a great way to multiply your giving for the Kingdom.
Gift Donations RGV has a FB Marketplace and Ebay accounts. If you have an item valued over $100 that is just collecting dust, you can donate the item for RGV to sell and turn into cash for the Kingdom.
Required Minimum Distributions We also have the capability to receive RMD’s directly. We have some members that graciously take their RMD out, are taxed on them, and then tithe off of them. Instead, you can transfer them, and avoid the tax altogether, increasing the giving portion. Talk to your Financial Advisor or visit freewill.com/smartgiving/vineyardusa. Our church is part of the dropdown you can choose from. Vineyard USA will then take care of the processing of the gift and mail our church a check for the amount.
