HERE AS IN HEAVEN Plan Your Visit Come and encounter God's presence, as it is in heaven. Our Values Presence We pursue the manifest presence of God as our highest priority, creating space for encounter and transformation. Freedom We believe Jesus still sets captives free. We are a House of Freedom — where chains break, wounds heal, and people walk in wholeness. Because His name is above every stronghold, we speak freedom over every person. Community We are a community of belonging, walking together in love, authenticity, and shared life. This is a judgment-free zone where we encourage one another toward emotional wholeness, spiritual maturity, and physical health as we grow together. This is a place you can come as you are and be met with grace, not shame. We believe God cares about the whole person — spirit, soul, and body. Equipping We equip and send believers to live naturally supernatural lives, carrying the Kingdom into every sphere of influence. Through intentional discipleship, we train people to follow Jesus closely — and to do what He did: heal the sick, cast out demons, preach the good news, and make disciples of others. - Who We Are | Royal Gorge Vineyard Church
The Heart of Our Journey Royal Gorge Vineyard exists to be a people who host the presence of God and embody the way of Jesus together. Our journey is rooted in historic Christian faith and shaped by a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit. We believe the Church is not an event to attend but a Spirit-formed family learning to live under the reign of Christ. We are committed to becoming a community where worship is wholehearted, Scripture is central, and the gifts of the Spirit are welcomed. We pursue authentic discipleship, courageous obedience, and real relationships that form us into the likeness of Jesus. We expect God to move among us through salvation, healing, prophetic encouragement, and transformed lives. Our heart is for Cañon City and the surrounding region. We desire to see individuals restored, families strengthened, and our city impacted by the tangible love and power of God. As we gather and scatter, we carry the presence of Christ into everyday life, trusting that His Kingdom is advancing here and now. Our Beliefs The Scripture We believe the Bible is the inspired, authoritative Word of God, serving as our final guide for faith and practice in all areas of life. Our teaching is rooted in these sacred texts, seeking to reveal the heart of God for our generation. The Triune God We recognize one God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each is fully divine, sharing the same essence, while working together in perfect unity for the redemption of the world. Jesus Christ Jesus is the Son of God, who took on human form, lived a sinless life, and voluntarily died for the reconciliation of humanity. His physical resurrection is the foundation of our hope and the promise of new life for all. The Holy Spirit We believe the Holy Spirit actively empowers believers today. The Holy Spirit indwells every believer at salvation and continues to fill, empower, and transform the Church. The Spirit distributes spiritual gifts for the building up of the body of Christ and the advancement of God’s Kingdom. We believe the gifts of the Spirit described in the New Testament—including prophecy, healing, miracles, discernment, and tongues—are available and active today. The Spirit brings conviction, regeneration, freedom, and empowerment for mission. We pursue the presence of God and welcome the Spirit’s ministry in both personal transformation and public witness. The Kingdom of God We believe the Kingdom of God has come and is still coming. Through Jesus, the reign of God has broken into human history. We live in the tension of the “already and not yet,” where the Kingdom is present but not yet fully consummated. We expect to see the works of the Kingdom demonstrated through salvation, deliverance, physical healing, restoration, justice, and reconciliation. Salvation We believe salvation is allegiance to Jesus the King. Salvation is not merely a private spiritual experience or a one-time decision. It is participation in the reign of Jesus Christ. The Gospel announces that Jesus is the crucified and risen Messiah who now rules as Lord. In response to that announcement, we are called to repent, believe, and give our loyal obedience to Him. Saving faith is more than intellectual agreement. It is trusting allegiance to Jesus as King. Through union with Christ, we are justified, forgiven, and brought into covenant relationship with God. We are transferred from the dominion of sin into the Kingdom of the Son and given new identity as God’s covenant people. Salvation includes present transformation and future hope. By the Holy Spirit, we are empowered to live faithfully under Christ’s lordship, embodying His justice, mercy, and holiness. Our obedience does not earn salvation but flows from allegiance to the risen King. Those who persevere in faithful allegiance to Jesus will share in the final resurrection and the full restoration of all things when He returns. Healing and Deliverance We believe Jesus continues to heal and set people free. We affirm that physical healing, emotional restoration, and freedom from spiritual oppression are expressions of the Gospel. We practice prayer for the sick, prophetic encouragement, and ministry to those seeking freedom, trusting the Holy Spirit to move according to His will and power. Baptism and the Lord’s Supper We believe in water baptism and communion as commanded by Jesus. Water baptism is an outward declaration of inward faith in Christ. The Lord’s Supper is a remembrance and proclamation of Jesus’ death and resurrection, celebrating our ongoing union with Him and one another. The Church We believe the Church is the living temple of God and the necessary community of believers. The Church is not a building or an event. It is the gathered and scattered people of God, redeemed by Jesus and indwelt by the Holy Spirit. Scripture teaches that we are the body of Christ and the temple of the Holy Spirit. God does not merely dwell in individual believers; He dwells among us as we gather in unity. Christian faith was never designed to be lived in isolation. Every believer is joined to Christ and joined to one another. We grow through shared worship, mutual encouragement, accountability, confession, prayer, and the exercise of spiritual gifts. Community is not optional to spiritual maturity; it is the environment where transformation happens. As the temple of the Spirit, we carry God’s presence into the world together. In community, we reflect the character of Jesus, demonstrate His love, steward His power, and participate in His mission. The Church exists to worship God, make disciples, build one another up, and embody the Kingdom of God in tangible ways.
